2.7 Strange Feeling

Really, Damaris? You've preformed for hours in literal junkyards, but the laundromat is your limit?

Whatever problem she has with the laundromat she's able to set aside. Jade Greenwood is expecting for the first time and her sister wanted to send her congratulations.

Jade is so touched! So congratulated! Yes.

Pancho has the sudden realisation that life is short.

So naturally, a beach party is the answer...?

Any excuse for a good time.

"Aw, no bikini?" he says with a smile.

"Well, it is raining...it would be pretty cold," Marcie answers.

Pancho face-palms. Of course.

"Why are you guys still shirtless? Not that I'm complaining..." her eyes rake over the bare torsos around her.

Pancho feels uncomfortable with her ogling other guys.

"Maybe we should get shirts..." he says uneasily.

So for some reason sims in my household always change into party wear even if they aren't at the party. This is probably the only time we'll see Damaris's swimwear.

Some people seem to think it's just another one of her crazy costumes.

Dot changes into her swimsuit too.

Sigh.

Pancho takes Marcie to the side.

"What is it?" she seems genuinely confused.

"I just don't like it when you say stuff like that to other guys..."

"Oh come on, it was just a joke!"

Pancho doesn't think so. "It's still...suggestive. It makes me uncomfortable."

Marcie rolls her eyes, "Just because you're jealous doesn't mean other people will take it that way."

His brow furrows. "Doesn't the way I feel matter to you?"

Seeing how intense the look on his face is, Marcie relents. "Fine, if it matters to you so much. I'll try to be less...jokey."

He smiles, "Thanks."

The bonfire party ends early because of the rain, so Pancho is home before midnight.

"Hey there, Kaira," he whispers. He places a doll into her crib. "A present, for you." Someone gave it to him ages ago, but he never played with it.

He's too old for toys now.

The entire family dresses up for the ceremony.

Why they pile into a cab for a graduation ceremony, but used the family car when Dot was in labour, will always be a mystery to me.

The ceremony is really boring, in Pancho's opinion, and he's happy when it's over.

"Don't be a stranger, ok?" Damaris struggles not to cry. Like his brothers, Pancho has decided to move out.

"Quartz said I can move my stuff in already..." his older brother offered one of the many empty rooms of DeAndre's mansion to him. "But once I have enough money, I'll try to find my own place."

"But isn't a mansion pretty much the dream location for parties?"

Pancho grins, "Yeah, of course! But Chase and her daughter live there too... not so ideal."

Pancho turns to his younger sister. "Promise me you aren't going to go boy crazy or anything."

Ume raises an eyebrow, "You're funny."

Pancho lightly hits her shoulder, "Don't you forget it."

Quartz is waiting in front of townhall in his car. With a wave, Pancho is off.

Dot feels a pang as they drive off. The house is getting more and more empty.

"Do you want to go home?" Dot asks her sister.

Ume shakes her head, "I promised to meet Judd here. That's alright...right, mom?" she addresses her mother.

Damaris throws her hands apart in a congenial manner, "Of course! Go, go!"

Ume goes... but she feels a horrible sense of sorrow when looks at the haunted house. Something about that grave terrifies her...

And as suddenly as the sensation came, it's gone again.

She tries to push the strange feeling out of her mind when she sees her friend.

"We should go into the haunted house," Judd immediately suggests.

"No!" her answer is too immediate and forceful.

"You a chicken?"

Ume scoffs, "You don't have to be chicken to think ghosts are creepy."

"Well, whatever your excuse is, I'm going."

Ume watches in bemusement as Judd sprints towards the haunted house.

"I'm not scared of any ghosts!" he calls out to her.

"That's what they say in horror movies? You know how those people end up?" Ume cups her hands around her mouth, "DEAD!"

When Judd makes mature "spooky" noises at her, Ume rolls her eyes.

"Hey, Dexter. Tell me. Are all boys idiots?"

"Oh, is this a bad time?" Ume cringes when she hears yelling at the other end of the phone. Dexter, did you really scratch the car?!

"Yeeeeeah... I'll call you if my mom doesn't kill me." The phone hangs up.

"Bye," Ume says to dead air.

Dot goes home while her sister goes to the park. She remembers the last time she went to the park...

She looks up at the picture she, Pancho, Aloiso, and Ume took together that day.

Her expression becomes confused when she sees another person in the picture. Maybe one of Ume's friends?

Must be, Dot thinks.

No other explanation.

AN: Marcie's traits are:

-Flirty
-Kleptomaniac
-Family oriented
-Irresistable

She spent a lot of the party hitting on other guys, especially after Pancho aged up and the game wouldn't let her flirt with him  x_x

  1. Aww, Marcie's traits really are a recipe for relationship disaster... especially with a sim not in your control. :P And aaaa, I really wanna know what happened to Una!!

    1. You said it. Poor Pancho stood there doing the "upset" interaction while she hit on all the teen guys at the party.
