1.9 Pass Along

For the life of me, I cannot remember this guy's name. He has no importance to the rest of the blog or anything, I just made him over in CAS and I think I wanted to show him off.

I do remember, however, that Dot became friends with him pretty fast. Like Damaris, she also has the social butterfly trait and is constantly looking for someone to talk to.

Speaking of Damaris...

Her sleep lately has been fitful. Even though she's raised now three other kids by herself, twins are a handful.

She's never asleep for long before Una or Ume need something.

"We need more space," Dot sighs when she comes home that night, "Aloiso is doing his homework on the pier!" If Quartz were home and not at DeAndre's house, he'd probably be sitting on the toilet to do his.

Damaris considers this, "You all should have your own rooms..."

Looking at Dot, she adds, "You know, if you'd like to move out after you graduate, get more space... I could help you find a place."

Dot looks at her mother, bewildered, "Why would I do that? Our family's right here!"

"To have your own space? Not many people would like living with their little brothers and sisters when they're 18..."

Dot shakes her head, "No, I want to stay here."

After a moment of silence, she does concede one thing. "We should have more beds, though." Aloiso has to sleep in a sleeping bag when Quartz is home.

"I'll see what I can do."

For now, though, they have to get ready. Quartz is performing in the talent show and will never, ever forgive them if they miss his "debut".

The family has a nice evening. Dot's only regret is that her dad is away on business again and couldn't make it.

Quartz and Aloiso sing happy birthday for her loudly anyways.

"Did your voice just crack?" Quartz snickers at Aloiso.

"Not everyone's trying to be on Simsouri Idol," Aloiso shoots back.

"Boys! Behave!" Dot admonishes. Now they both roll their eyes.

"Yeah, mom."

"Just because you're not in high school anymore doesn't mean you can boss us around!" Quartz says, hands on his hips.

"It's past your bedtime, sweetie," Dot uses their mother's pet name for all of them, "It's a school night!"

Damaris is so exhausted from singing and caring for Pancho and the twins the night before that as soon as they get home, she collapses.

"I guess it's your bedtime too," Dot winces.

Damaris makes good on her promise to give them all more room. It's just a nursery for now, but when she has more money she wants to expand it into a living space.

This way, Damaris can also have her own room separate from the toddlers.

Graduation day. Wei's gift to Dot was a used car. It's barely enough to fit their large family, but with enough squeezing, everyone manages to get in.

Aloiso frowns. "Where did Pancho run off to, now..."

Una is an excitable toddler. She shrieks with excitement at every new thing she sees, pointing the out to her older brother.

"Yes, you're very observant," Quartz coos to her, patting her head. He shakes the stroller a little, giving Una a wild ride. She flails her arms and laughs.

One the ceremony is over, Dot looks at the city hall building.

I just wish dad could be here... she lets herself think for a moment.

"Everything ok, sweetie?"

Dot smiles, "Everything's great! I'm just... a bit overwhelmed, is all." Finishing high school is a funny feeling.

But it is over.

No more biology! No more graveyard job! Dot wants to celebrate!

"Pancho!" Damaris yells at her youngest son, "What are you doing in the road? Get over here!"

Pancho sticks out his tongue and goes running off behind the city hall. Damaris sighs.

"I'm getting too old to keep up," she mumbles, before giving chase.

For Dot's special day, Damaris books a spa session, just mom and daughter.

"That was so nice," Dot sighs when they leave the building, "My skin feels so smooth!" She winces a little, "It still stings a bit, though. Those extractions were painful..." some parts of her cheeks are inflamed from where any acne or blemish was squeezed out of existence.

Damaris smiles, "That facial lady was merciless. She pinched so much of my face!"

"I'm starving!" Dot exclaims, "Let's have dinner!"

Damaris's phone buzzes. She frowns, pretty sure she announced that she wouldn't take any sing-o-grams today. She looks at her phone, and her frown deepens. It's from Wei's wife, Michelle.

I didn't have Dot's number, I'm so sorry about this. I'm in Isla Paradiso right now with Wei... he's in the hospital. Please pass along Dot's number to me...

"Mom? What's wrong?"

"...I have something to tell you."

AN: :O

Wei reached elder stage some time ago. He was an adult at the beginning of the game.

  1. Oh nooo, Wei. D: And poor Dot! That's one of the worst things to happen on your graduation and becoming-the-new-heir day.

On a happier note, I like Pancho's troublemaking personality, lol. And his hair.

    1. Yeah, I got that notification about visiting him soon, and then he passed away very soon after that :(

I almost never use that hairstyle in game, but it looked surprisingly nice on Pancho.
